International Shipping Policy
Special Information for U.S. Customers
We are committed to making cross-border shopping as simple as possible. With the upcoming changes to U.S. import laws (effective August 29, 2025), we have implemented the following measures to protect our customers from unexpected costs:
- Duty-Free Shipping (CUSMA): We include a CUSMA Certificate of Origin with every eligible shipment. This certifies your gear was made in North America, helping to exempt your order from standard import duties.
- Included Brokerage Fees: We specifically select UPS shipping methods that include routine customs brokerage fees in the base price. This prevents the “surprise” invoices often sent by couriers after delivery.
- Predictable Delivery: By providing all digital customs documentation in advance, we help ensure your package clears the border quickly and efficiently.
Please Note: While we work to minimize fees, customers remain responsible for any applicable state taxes or specialized customs processing fees.
Global Shipping (Outside North America)
For all other international destinations, please keep the following policies in mind:
- Duties and Taxes: Import taxes, VAT, and customs duties are the sole responsibility of the recipient. These fees are set by your local government and are not collected by Lure of the North at checkout.
- Local Regulations: We recommend checking your country’s de minimis (tax-free) thresholds before placing your order to avoid unexpected charges.
- Tracking: Every international order includes a tracking number so you can monitor your package’s progress across the globe.
Important Terms & Conditions
- Address Accuracy: Please verify your shipping address and provide a valid phone number. International couriers require phone contact to resolve customs issues.
- Customs Delays: While we strive for fast delivery, Lure of the North is not responsible for delays caused by customs inspections or local postal services.
- Confiscated Items: Please ensure the items you are ordering (such as specific tools or organic materials) are legal to import into your country. We are not responsible for items seized by customs.
